My husband retired in 2013, and we took our first river cruise on AmaWaterways. The cruise was called Magnificent Europe, and oh my, what a time we had! We joined four other people, spending a couple of nights in Prague, before taking the train to Budapest for another two nights. After our jetlag wore off, we embarked at Budapest on our ship, the AmaCerto. We sailed the Danube, the Danube/Main Canal, the Main, the Rhine, and finally the Dutch Waterways to disembark in Amsterdam after fourteen days on our beautiful ship. We had met many new friends, saw numerous historical sights, ate delicious regional food and wines, and just did not want to leave any of it.
